Purpose –

——————————–
We get a job because it pays us, and/or satisfies our lifestyle (It is used for that purpose), an animal kills because it’s prey offers food (It is used for that purpose), we go to school to get an education (It is used for that purpose), we copulate to quell human nature or to procreate (it could have been a mistake because you purposed a man/woman for pleasure), we meet a prospective mate, and there is purposing for that person that happened in your mind (Love companionship, etc.), we have and raise children because their success and growth is our own, or to experience the grandiosity of parenthood. Parents purpose children to do chores or to get work excuses for missing a day at the job, or maybe just to make us feel better about ourselves. Your children purpose you (Mommy feeds us, Daddy needs you, we need love… hopefully) we drink to get drunk (It is used for that purpose), we party to have fun, we eat to live. We save to be comfortable, squirrels climb trees to get a nut, humans jump for fun or to get high. Your job purposes you (you are worth what we can get from you), your friends purpose you for something, (a great conversation, a good time out, camaraderie or support). Women purpose men for “whatever”. We all “purpose everything we spend time and energy on; it is to get something. Your God purposes you, the world will purpose you. Your body purposes the world around you, and you are not wrong for finding your purposes.
Everything has a specific value/prospective purpose to someone, and it is wrong to make people feel bad about “Wanting” something from another thing for their own reasons, we eat to stay alive, we educate ourselves to make money, for advancement, or for sheer knowledge. We make money to buy things, we build a house to live in, we (men or women) meet a woman/man to make a family or satisfy our selves in some way, every human and animals/insects, flora and fauna do things to get something back, and that comes with a sacrifice, time, money, patience, frustration, struggle, blood, sweat, or tears. That is the law of “equivalent exchange”. But before we sacrifice, we purpose something.
We all have wants, goals, and dreams, and that is a HUMAN aspect, and as long as you are willing to trade time, money, or health for it, then that is how our shared reality is created. You have a job because someone somewhere sacrificed time and effort to build that company. It is only human, animal, or simply nature to want something for a personal purpose. Procreation is as valid a “want” just as food or water is. One thing fuels another thing, something is purposed at some point to make the next level of creation possible. An apple tree is a work of art to the eye, functional and very much needed for the planet, it has a job. To my common sense, it is just a tree that has a purpose but, can I not also find the fruits tempting, delicious in appearance, succulent”? Why can’t all of my senses enjoy the same subject matter, mind, body, and soul (My thoughts, my sense of smell, sight, touch, and taste, and/or what I accept to be the way things should be … which is just my opinion). Its a tree that bears fruit, it’s there because the planet and the people need it, its purpose and functionality cannot be debated, but my human senses tell me the apples look good, and will probably taste good because my brain tells me the apples seem delectable, and its shade seems a deliverer from the sun’s heating rays.
This is why, I don’t believe it’s a crime for me, as a man, to admire a female for her skill set, and personage, but also say her feminine form titillates my libido. I am a Man. Can you tell a parched animal to admire a pond of water for its beauty, and expected it not to want to drink some”? Admire a fighter jet, but not want to fly in it, admire the culture of a foreign country but not want to visit? Will a Lion admire a gazelle for its speed? Women have been objectifying male athletes for years, they couldn’t tell you what team the athlete is on, they only see what they want, and it is human. No matter how well contained, this is instinct for a man, and it will never change until men no longer have the instinct to mate and have a child the original way.
Go tell a carpenter not to see more value in the possible lumber of the apple tree, tell a teacher to only find value in a book for its pages made of wood, tell a child to only enjoy a wooden Seesaw and not enjoy it. It has a purpose.
Yes, There is purpose in all of existence.
However, doing something that has purpose for you can be
something done to someone else on purpose that can and will cause discomfort.
Lets live with purpose and prevent doing things on purpose that can hurt.
Beautiful analogy and an insight on purpose verses on purpose for ill….
